2024 Womxn’s Book Club and All Gender Book Club

The theme for this year’s book club is “Genres,” encouraging readers to read outside of the comfort zone. Womxn’s Book Club will meet the first Tuesday of each month, and All Gender will meet the first Thursday of each month. Registration is encouraged in order to get an accurate headcount for seating. Both groups will be reading and discussing the same book. This is a book club where the books are discussed thoroughly and earnestly.

2024 Banned Book Club
in partnership with Emerald Cocktail Kitchen

Seasonal: January-April/September-November- the second Wednesday of the month (except for February)
Across the country, books are being banned, particularly books that highlight LGBTQ+ experiences and content relating to Black history and the Black lived-experience. As advocates for informational freedom, we hope that this book club will bring greater awareness to banned books and share information about who is banning them and why. Food and drink (sometimes themed on the book!) will be available for purchase. All signups will be through the Emerald Cocktail Kitchen website.

January: Gender Queer by Maia Kobabe
February: Stamped From the Beginning: Graphic Novel Ed. by Ibram X. Kendi
March: Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult

2024 Cookbook Club

Third Wednesday of every month 6:30-8PM
Hosted by local author Gina Damico, this club is WELCOME TO ALL, from amateur home cooks on up. Did your dish go horribly wrong? We won't judge! Did it not get enough seasoning? We won't scream at you or throw a pot at your head! We are not aspiring to be Michelin chefs here; we're just a bunch of people who want to cook for fun, try new foods, and meet some new friends along the way. There is no cost to attend this event, just whatever you spend on ingredients. Signups are required in order to call dibs on what recipe you want to bring.

January: The Secret Of Cooking by Bee Wilson
February: TBD
March: Cheese Sex Death by Erika Kubick

2024 Romance Book Club

Every other month on the second Thursday 6:30-8
In all our other book clubs we really read the books, and have earnest and engaging discussions- here we'll be prioritizing the social aspect of book club! We'll get together on the second Thursday of every other month in an aesthetically pleasing setting and talk about spicy books. Spice levels will vary, drinks will be shared. Registration is encouraged in order to get an accurate headcount for seating. Fees may apply for events that include food and/or drink.
