Private Events

The Basics:
$65 an hour for a minimum of 2 hours between the hours of 6:30 pm and 9 pm Tuesday & Wednesday
$95 an hour for a minimum of 2 hours between the hours of 4:30 pm and 9 pm Friday-Sunday

The two hour minimum is required so as to provide adequate time for setup and cleanup on either end of the event itself. We find that most events require around 30 minutes for each.

If you are interested in hosting a class/workshop in our space a discount may be available for events that include materials purchased from the shop, or reasonable cross-promotion.

A minimum of four weeks advance booking is required-more than four weeks in advance is recommended.

Includes:

  • Private use of the bookshop for up to 38 people standing/seated rows, 25 seated at tables

  • Event attendant to help with set up, tear down, disposal of trash, and any additional needs as they arise

  • Private shopping experience for the client and their guests at any point during the event

  • Use of Golden Bee’s tables, chairs, and white or black linens

  • Music through shop speakers

All food and beverage must be coordinated and provided by you, the client.
NOTE: Golden Bee does not have a kitchen.
Any styling and/or use of decor on the part of Golden Bee Bookshop may be arranged for an additional fee to be determined at the time of client consultation.

Supplemental elements that can be added for an additional cost:

  • A 15% discount for 8 or more copies of a book (ideal for book clubs and bachelorette parties)

  • Custom bookish gift bags or Blind Date with a Book

  • Storytime and a craft for children

  • Simple crafts (bookmark decorating, card-making)

These add-ons are subject to availability and time constraints. Prices vary based on product selection, volume, and time requirements.
Upon date approval a $50 deposit is required to secure your reservation, we will ask for additional details, and a contract will be provided by Golden Bee.
